Most people are aware that practicing healthy habits and eating well are essential to our health and wellbeing. However, we very often forget why it is so important to implement these healthy habits into our day-to-day lifestyle.

 

A balanced diet gives your body the nutrients it needs to function correctly. Without balanced nutrition, your body is more prone to disease, infection, fatigue, and low performance.

Children who don’t get enough healthy foods may face growth and developmental problems and frequent infections. They can also develop unhealthy eating habits that may persist into adulthood.

 

Poor nutrition can affect many aspects of our lives and therefore it is important to work out what works for each of us individually. The team can work with you to help guide you towards healthier habits.

stay hydrated

About 60% of your body is water, and you must constantly replenish the supply. Water is important to every part of your body from brain health to digestion. If you find water hard to drink then try adding some mint, citrus fruits or berries.

ditch the processed food

Processed foods are full of hydrogenated oils, trans fats and excessive amounts of sodium and sugar. By preparing fresh foods yourself you can control the amount of fat, sugar and sodium you take in.

eat a rainbow

Our bodies benefit from variety, which is why it’s important for our health to eat a rainbow of colourful vegetables which are packed with vitamins, minerals, prebiotic fibre and antioxidants.  

a healthy mindset

A healthy mindset and a positive relationship with food is an essential part of eating well.

There is no such thing as one ‘perfect diet’, and no specific foods are simply ‘good or bad’. 

Remember, life is all about balance!
